Sheriff Steele to Visit for Snowman Day!

Thank you to everyone who sent in an entry for the Festive Photo with Your Friends Contest. All of the entries have been downloaded, and the judges now have the very hard job of picking a winner. The winner of the contest will be announced on Christmas Eve, December 24th, right here in my Blog. Good luck!

Tomorrow is Snowman Day in Pandanda. Trade 5 Stocking Stuffers to Chilly the Snowman for his Frosty Potion, and turn yourself into a Snowman! Sheriff Steele is planning to take a break from his busy schedule to visit Pandanda at 7:30am Pandanda Time, and again at 5pm Pandanda Time. He wants to see lots and lots of Snowmen during his visits, and he has promised to take pictures that I can post in my Blog.

The Pandanda Moderators have been telling me about the beautifully decorated treehouses they have seen. I got a peek at some in the contest photos that were sent in, and I want to see more! If you are proud of your holiday-decorated home, take a screenshot and send it to screenshots@pandanda.com. Make sure to send the entire screen of your treehouse, from your Panda name in the top left corner all the way to your backpack in the bottom right corner - we don't want to miss a thing! I will create a "Holiday Treehouses in Pandanda" album to show the pictures!

Festive Photo Contest Deadline Coming Up!

Hey there, Holiday pals!

It seems like the Winter Festival has gotten off to a great start! Pandanda looks so festive with all of the greenery and lights against the snow. I am really starting to get into the Christmas spirit!

I wanted to remind you that you have today and tomorrow to send in your Festive Photo with Your Friends contest entry. Any entries received after 11:59pm PST on Sunday, December 18th will not be entered in the contest. You can click that link to see what the deadline is where you live.Don't wait until the last minute!

We have seen many more eligible entries come in since I updated you about some important contest rules on Wednesday. It really does make a difference if you follow all of the rules! Don't forget to include your panda name in your email!

This Tuesday, December 20th will be Snowman Day! Collect as many stocking stuffers as you can between now and Tuesday so you can get lots of Frosty Potions from Chilly the Snowman. We are going to fill Pandanda with snowpandas! Check out this picture from last year's snowman invasion:

I'm going to ask Sheriff Steele if he can drop in on Snowman Day. I've told him that lots of pandas want to see him, and this would be a great day for a visit! I'll let you know what he says!

On Friday, December 23rd - Christmas Eve Eve - it will be Christmas Outfit Day. Put on your most Christmasy clothes, then join your friends around the big Christmas Tree in Bear Hollow to sing Christmas songs!

Festive Photo with Your Friends Contest Update

Hi Panda Pals!

You still have 4 more days (5, if you count today) to send in your entries for the Festive Photo with Your Friends Contest! We have seen some really awesome and creative photos so far, and we look forward to seeing even more!

I do want to remind everyone of some of the contest rules. Many of the entries we have received are not eligible to be chosen as the winner because they did not follow the Rules of the Contest.

1. Your entry must be sent from the email address that your Pandanda account is registered to. An easy way to make sure you are using the right address is to use the "I forgot my password" link at the bottom of the login page. When you submit your email address there, you will receive an email with the names and passwords of all of the accounts that are registered to that email address. If you don't see an account that you expect to see, it means that you used a different email address to register that account. This is one of the reasons it is SO important to keep a record of the address you use when you create an account, and to also make sure that you use a real address, and type it correctly when you sign up.

2. Digitally edited or enhanced photos will not be accepted. You can zoom in and crop your screenshot, but that is all. Your entry should be a single screenshot of a scene in Pandanda with you and one or more of your friends and other pandas. Collages and photos with added text, borders, frames, and other decorations are not acceptable entries.

3. You may send in 1 picture each day. If you send in more than one picture on a day, that entry will be disqualified.

So, what can you do if you think you sent in an entry that did not follow those rules? You can certainly make changes to your entry, and send it to us again. If you made a collage or edited your photo, go back to your original screenshot and send it to us with no edits. If you sent us a bunch of pictures on one day, you can send those same pictures again, but this time, choose the very best ones and send just ONE each day for the rest of the contest. If you sent your entry from the wrong email address, send it again from the right address.

If you have questions about the contest, you can send them to contest@pandanda.com. Remember to include your Panda name in your email message when you send your photo to contest@pandanda.com. We have to know which Panda to award the prize to if you win! Good luck to everyone!

Winter Festival Starts Thursday!

Hi Friends!

The Pandanda Winter Festival begins in just 3 days! The Pandanda townspeople are working hard to get their holiday decorations ready.  I was checking the Pandanda weather forecast for this week, and it looks like there is a very good chance that we will get lots more snow! I bet it will be just in time for the Winter Festival.

During the Winter Fest you will collect stocking stuffers that will appear all around Pandanda, then trade them for awesome Winter prizes. It will be 20 days of Wintery Fun!

We've started to get lots of entries in the Festive Photo with Your Friends Contest. You can click that link to read all about how to enter the contest. You have until 11:59pm PST on Sunday, December 18th to email us your pictures.

Please make sure to read the rules of the contest very carefully. If your entry does not follow all of the rules, it will not be entered in the contest.

Festive Photo with Your Friends Contest!

One of the best things about the Holiday season is getting together with your friends. That is why I am pleased to announce the “Festive Photo with Your Friends” contest! The goal of the contest is to take the best seasonal picture of your panda with your friends (It's ok to include other pandas who are also playing who may not be on your friends list.)

The most festive, creative and original picture of you and your friends celebrating the holiday season will win the awesome prize of a gift certificate for a 6 month Elite Membership, 200 Panda Gold, and 5000 Panda Power. Plus, you’ll get another 6 month Elite Membership to give to a friend! 

There is a limit of one entry per email address (the one you used when you created your panda) per day. Entries must be received at contest@pandanda.com no later than 11:59pm PST on Sunday, December 18th. The winner will be announced on Saturday, December 24th in my blog.

Prizes

1 Grand Prize winner will receive:

• A 6 Month Elite Membership gift certificate for you
• A  second 6 Month Elite Membership gift certificate for your friend.
• 200 Panda Gold for you.
• 5000 Panda Power for you.

Here are a few tips:

• Be original and creative. It's ok to try and organize other players in the game to get the coolest, greatest shot ever! If players don't cooperate, though, it is not ok to bully them or be mean. We have so many players around the world, and some may not understand what you're saying. Also remember that safe chat players can't see what you may be chatting.
• Your picture can be taken anywhere in the game. It is ok to drop into a friend's tree house to take your picture. There are some pretty fancy tree houses out there!
• It's ok to crop your picture to whatever size you think looks nice, or you may submit an entire screenshot.
• Cropping the picture is ok, but digitally editing or enhancing your screenshot is not. Digitally edited submissions will be disqualified.

To submit your entry (have your parent or guardian help you):

1. Read and obey the rules. Entering the competition means that you and your parent/guardian agree to the rules. If you are under 13 years old, please ask your parent or guardian to review them with you, along with our website Terms of Use , specifically with regard to the use of submissions you send to us.
2. Ask your parent or guardian to email your entry to contest@pandanda.com from their email address, the one they used when they signed you up for Pandanda. Your entry MUST come from the email address that we have on file for your Pandanda account.
3. Type the words "Picture Contest" in the subject line of the email.
4. Type your Panda name in the text of the email for example "Panda Name: Paige."
5. Do NOT include your real name, house address, phone number, or password.
6. Email your entry to be received by Pandanda no later than Sunday, December 18th at 11:59pm, Pacific Standard Time (PST). There is a limit of one entry per valid email address per day.
